About Miss Lizzy Tufties
Made from (mostly) 100% wool
Miss Lizzy tufties are made from 100% thrifted or Australian/New Zealand wool (mostly). Because I try to thrift as much yarn as possible, some acrylics or plastic-fibres can sneak in when I am buying un-marked balls of yarn, especially when mixed with wool. This is definitely a rare occurance though!
What do I use my tufty for?
Tufties quickly become members of the family! They are each unique works of art. Keep them on a surface near-at-hand so you can enjoy their tactile deliciousness, or hang on the wall as a statement artwork!
How do I clean my tufty?
Wool is a remarkably resilient product, and is quite dirt and stain resistant by nature (within reason). I have more detailed cleaning information on my FAQ page, but as a general rule they are as easy/difficult to clean as any other woolen upholstery piece.
Everything is made by hand
Every tufty is carefully designed and crafted by hand. Tufting is a process of injecting wool into a woven backing. It's a fairly labour intensive process, but very satisfying! You can be assured that your tufty is completely unique and no one is ever the same as any other.
