Shipping in the Age of COVID-19
As we all now know, COVID has hit our postal services very hard. While most domestic services are doing their best to fulfil their promised shipping times, people outside of major domestic centres are likely going to have to wait a little longer. Please be patient with any delays that may occur due to our overburdened postal service!
International shipping is also experiencing some serious delays, with some countries more affected than others. As a general rule, postage from Australia to Europe seems to be fairly quick at this stage, but postage to North America seems to be especially slow. We recommend checking with Australia Post and your country's national postal service for updates and also for any timeline indicators.
Shipping Within Australia
We utilise multiple shipping services to ensure we are sending your items the most affordably and efficiently. While most items in the shop are small-ish and light-weight, we do have a few bulkier items in the store that are either large or heavy or a combination of the two - for example, larger rugs and wall hangings which are rigid, and therefore can't be folded or rolled. In these instances we will use a courier service to send, as this is generally the cheapest option for these items.
Please get in touch BEFORE YOU ORDER if you have any questions regarding shipping - in particular if you are contemplating a rug or wall hanging. We can source a shipping quote for you before you purchase to ensure we can provide you with the best price possible. Otherwise, we have provided shipping costs for these larger items based on quotes obtained at the time of listing.
Dependent upon country, international delivery can vary between 7 - 30 days. We have provided as-accurate as we can shipping costs for international deliveries. As with above, if you are contemplating buying a larger/heavier item, please get in touch before you purchase to ensure we can provide you with the most accurate and reasonable shipping cost possible.
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Miss Lizzy is not responsible for delays due to customs.
A note regarding fees: if your international shipping fee ends up being significantly lower than what you have been charged, we will refund the difference. This can happen on the rare occasion, especially with things changing so rapidly during COVID.
Loss or Damage During Shipping
Miss Lizzy is responsible for any loss or damage of your product up until the point of delivery to your specified address. If any items fail to arrive please let us know immediately. In addition, if any items arrive damaged, please contact us immediately to discuss options - within two business days. We can be contacted at email@example.com. Please provide photos of the damaged items, shipping materials, etc when you get in touch.
Combined shipping is not a problem! I know it can be a bit stressful during drops to make sure you grab the earrings you want. If you end up making multiple purchases, just make a note at checkout and I will refund the excess shipping fees. Please note: if you are combining tufted items with earrings, you will be refunded the lower fee to account for the extra bulk/weight.
